Electrical energy (also referred to as Qi, Chi, prana, vitality, etc.) forms the foundation of life. It is what drives us; it is what creates life through the electrical spark of conception. The unimpeded circulation of this force is vital — its stagnation leads to death, while its free circulation fosters life.
The reflexes of the feet reflect the levels of Qi. Individuals with high levels typically respond more favourably to treatment than those with lower levels. Recognising these indications will help determine the appropriate type of treatment for each specific client.
However, it is also essential to consider the practitioner's energy state, as this plays a crucial role in enhancing the therapeutic potency of treatments. In this presentation I will discuss strategies that practitioners can employ to elevate their Qi levels.
Maintaining and enhancing their Qi levels will greatly benefit the clients and their health.

I am very fortunate to have Dr. Sumi Chatterjee join me in this presentation.
She is an exceptionally qualified medical doctor and scientist with a degree in Medical Biochemistry and a Master's degree in Pharmacology.
The College of Medicine awarded her a fellowship for her work. She is also a Yoga teacher and is very interested in the body's energy potential and ways to enhance it.
Sumi was diagnosed with advanced cancer in 2021, which changed her view of being a medical doctor.
She decided to use energy medicine to work on her body, mind and spirit to overcome her condition.
The methods she uses will be the subject of her presentation.
Her story is truly inspirational.

My presentation on November 9th (Reflexology Decoded) evoked great interest. Since then, I have received requests to give another presentation as a continuation.
The subjects included the value of detecting what I call ‘Disturbed Reflexes’. These reflexes display various types of textures. They indicate the stories the feet can tell and the reflexes that require the most attention.
Apart from acquiring the ability to detect these, applying the appropriate type of contact is necessary.
The importance of this is largely overlooked.
The types of contact include classical walking, sliding, pulsing, a combination of flexing and walking, and static contact.
There is also the factor of using or not using a lubricant in combination with the techniques.
As this subject is so important, I shall cover it again and reveal how the techniques of A.R.T./Focused Reflexology were conceived, which I describe as ‘An Evolvement of the Original Concept’.
I identify reflexology as an energy therapy, and once this is understood, a far more profound understanding of the therapy will emerge, which will result in a ‘quantum leap’ — a challenge to your core beliefs of reflexology.
Once we view reflexology as more than just the application of contact to the feet but as a therapy that interprets and influences the movement of electricity through the body, we will enable the practitioner to work on a more therapeutic level.
Electricity is life's underlying principle; it is life's force. Described by ancient civilisations as Qi, Prana, Chi, Mana, Vitality, etc.
The levels of this force in the body correspond to health and vitality, which can be detected in reflex textures and sensitivities.
It is the levels of this energy which is directly responsible to the way clients react to treatment.
However, the practitioner's level of electricity or Qi also significantly influences the efficacy of treatments.
This is why we, as practitioners, need to work on ourselves to ensure that our energy batteries are fully charged with life-enhancing electromagnetic energy. I will include this subject in my next presentation.
Next year will be my 53rd year in reflexology. It has been quite a ride, enabling me to examine reflexology from many perspectives and giving me a deeper understanding of its potential, which I am eager to pass on.
