It is a subject which relates in certain aspects to reflexology.
I am often asked to described what it is, and to do this I use the analogy of ballet.
Ballet is something I have been connected with for most of my life, not as a dancer I must add.
In all kinds of dance, and in particular ballet, the feet play a principle role in the way the rest of the body moves. From the tips of the toes to the tips of the fingers of the dancer, proprioception casts its magical spell.
I was fortunate enough to attend a performance of Mata Hari while I was teaching in Holland recently. It was performed by the Dutch National Ballet - a truly magnificent company.

A week later I was at London’s Sadlers Wells theatre to watch amongst two other ballets, a production of one of my favourites, ‘Still life’ at the Penguin Cafe. Performed by the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Although short, around 45 minutes it describes the destruction of the planet by mankind.
Choreographed by David Bintley with absolutely superb fusions of music from different genres by the late Simon Jeffes. It was a wonderfully captivating production, and one sadly very rarely performed.
Try and see both of these ballets, live if you can, or on various media outlets.
My Best wishes
